“Friends to support” (F2S) is a self motivated team running a website ( www.friends2support.org ) with voluntary blood donor database. This website ( www.friends2support.org ) was started with a thought to help people find donors in their own locations when required. The motto of “Friends to support” (F2S) is to make the best use of contemporary technologies in delivering a promising web portal, which brings together all the blood donors in India; thereby fulfilling every blood request in the country.

This website was started by few IT professionals who came together and designed a website to bring all the blood donors to a common platform. Website was launched on 14th November 2005 and the founder Mr. Shareef SK, became the first donor. At the inception there were only 200 donors, but now the count rose to 100000 donors. Now we have India’s largest blood donor’s database. F2S does not encourage any donations; it runs with its own funds.

Launched Free SMS facility to blood donors – Registered users will get SMS along with their user name and password,
a. when they registered as blood donors
b. when they request for forgot password
c. They will get thank you SMS when they donated blood
d. They will get reminder SMS when they have completed 3 months of their last blood donation.

1) Request for Blood donor form, quite user friendly.
2) You can place a request for blood on the website.
3) Transparent database, any one can access.
4) If you find any donor unavailable for donation or has changed phone number, you can utilise the “Report” option beside every donor name.
5) Blood donation facts in our website which are very useful to every user.
6) Has complete “State-District-Location” database in our Country (almost 8000+ locations in our country).
